Dissemination Arrangements
CSO statistics are disseminated in a variety of ways as follows: Statistical ReleasesThese provide the more recent results of regular statistical inquiries (e.g. Monthly Retail Sales Index, Quarterly Industrial Earnings, etc) as soon as they become available. Since 1998, the CSO has published all statistical releases on our website at time of publication. Click here to access the Statistics Area of the website.
Statistical PublicationsThese provide the detailed results of large-scale inquiries (e.g. Census of Population reports, annual Census of Industrial Production results). Click here to view the CSO Publication Policy and the Web. Special AnalysesIt is not always practical for the CSO to publish the full range of information and analyses available from statistical inquiries. The specialist requirements of some users may, therefore, not be met by the published releases and reports. To meet these requirements the CSO provide, on a fee basis, special series and analyses to individual users tailored to their particular needs. Arrangements also exist, whereby, the CSO will run computer programs by specialist users on its computer data files in a manner which preserves the confidentiality of the individual records. For further information e-mail information@cso.ie.
Press ReleasesThe CSO issues Press Releases for many detailed statistical publications, highlighting the principal features of the results.
Press conferencesPress conferences are arranged by the CSO in conjunction with the release of important statistical results and publications.

The CSO's RSS (Really Simple Syndication) service serves to distribute news headlines and content on the Internet in a completely automated fashion. It is a very effective and easy way of keeping up-to-date with the latest headlines from the CSO. It allows you to identify the content you are interested in and have the very latest information on these topics delivered directly to you. Rather than visit our site to see if new content has been added, RSS will alert you when new information has been added and will deliver it directly to you. Click here for information on using CSO RSS feeds. |
